The 6th Annual LCDA Board Leaders Convening and BoardReady Institute, hosted by TPG, takes place November 3-5, 2021 in San Francisco, CA. TPG Executive Chairman and Co-Founder Jim Coulter and TPG Global CEO Jon Winkelried will be featured in a fireside chat with LCDA Char, Roel Campos.

ANNUAL CONVENING

November 4, 8:30 a.m. – November 5, 3 p.m.

The 6th Annual LCDA Board Leaders Convening: The Future of Governance—The Ascent of ESG, is open to all LCDA members, strategic partners, and key stakeholders. Featuring two days of sessions on trending governance topics, the Annual Convening is an intimate peer learning and networking event designed for LCDA members, CEOs, and C-level executives. LCDA is also joined by our corporate, private equity, and search firm partners, as well as others that influence board placement. Registration is complimentary for invitees and is available for either in-person or virtual attendance.

BOARDREADY INSTITUTE (BRI) 

November 3-4, 2021 

Two Track Programming

The Latino Corporate Directors Education Foundation (LCDEF) produces its annual, in-person BoardReady Institute (BRI) programming just prior to the LCDA annual convening. You must attend these programs in-person; virtual is not available.

The BRI program includes comprehensive sessions along two primary tracks – BRI and BRINext – each uniquely designed for aspiring and new directors to prepare and best position them for boardroom success. 

 

The program fees are:

  • BRI - $1,500

  • BRINext - $500

BRI
REGISTRATION FEE: $1,500;
November 3, 7:30 a.m. – November 4, 11:45 a.m. 

Who should participate:

  • First-year Executive Members and those members who have not completed BRI programming,
  • Members who are serving on their first public or private board (less than 2 years), or 
  • Members who serve on a mutual fund or non-public board (i.e., pension fund, etc.)

Sample sessions include, but are not limited to:

  • Corporate Boards 101: Roles and Responsibilities of Directors
  • The New Board Governance Landscape: Increased Demands, Ongoing Challenges and Uncertainty
  • Refining Your Board Pitch to Tell Your Story
  • Elevating Your Brand: Insights to Build Your LinkedIn Profile
  • Elevating Your Networking Game
  • Tips to Excel in Your Board Interviews
  • One-on-One Interviews: Coaching with Search Firm Partners and Directors


BRINext
REGISTRATION FEE: $500;
November 3, 12 p.m. – November 4, 11:45 a.m.

Who should participate: 

  • Director Members who have served on a board for less than 5 years,

  • Director members who serve on a mutual fund or non-public company  board (i.e. pension fund, etc.)

  • Executive Members who completed BRI programming in previous year(s) or other board-readiness program through other sources.

 

Sample sessions include, but are not limited to:

  • Mock Board and Committee Meetings
  • Tips to Excel Along Your Board Journey
  • Roundtable Discussion with New Directors; Rising to the Challenge and Lessons Learned
  • Taking on Tomorrow's Board Challenges Today from Varying Perspectives
